The purpose of this project was to understand the relationship leather shares with it’s binder, the thread. A case was hand sewed, each for the laptop and the wireless mouse. Cowhide leather was used in this project, a tan, unwaxed finish has been applied to the leather, with a stitching method that is rather uncommon among leather products. It holds together much better, and is visually intriguing, with the difference in colors between the thread and leather.

Another different stitching method is applied to the mouse case, similar to that I had stitched my first laptop case with.
